Interview with DePaolo: Enlightenment In a Can
Posted on May 07 2025,
We sat down cross-legged (mentally) with DePaolo, the vanilla ginger seltzer with strong opinions about breathwork and an unsettling amount of inner peace. With its blend of fiery ginger and smooth vanilla, DePaolo is a beverage that whispers, "You're fine. Let it go."
Q: DePaolo, what exactly are you?
I'm the sip that stretches. I’m that moment after a deep inhale, when you remember your shoulders exist and then promptly release them. I’m ginger that bites—respectfully—and vanilla that glides in to say, “Let’s not fight.”
Q: You smell kind of... beautiful?
Thank you. That’s the citrus and buttercream working through their stuff. My aroma is like a fruit-forward spa lobby where someone just baked cupcakes but also lit a sandalwood candle.
Q: What should people expect when they drink you?
Awakening. Clarity. Possibly a spontaneous need to stretch your hamstrings. I’m spicy and bright up front, but I mellow into a creamy, herbal softness. Think: ginger snap in a velvet robe. I taste like the color lime green. I feel like an organized sock drawer.
Q: Are you high maintenance?
Only in the best ways. I like to be served over ice. But if you crack me straight from the can, I won’t complain. Enlightened beings are flexible.
Q: Final words?
Drink me slowly. Breathe between sips. And if your chakras align halfway through the can, you're welcome.
DePaolo: Spicy. Smooth. Mildly transcendental.
